evening -

It has been a lovely day.  We took a tour of the town of Sonoma, and I returned to happily water, fertilize, and weed.  I read Mark Rashid's book Horses Never Lie, which I highly recommend for anyone, though it does make you want to get on a horse.   The book is about realizing we are on a journey with no destination, and everything on that journey is important.  He ends with this paragraph, which, again, I feel can be applied to all we do.

"Oftentimes we get so hung up on accomplishing goals or relying on techniques that we don't allow that piece of ourselves - the piece that lets the horse know we can be trusted - to shine through.  We can't force our horse to trust us.  It doesn't work that way.  Trust is something that must be earned. It has been my experience, however, that once that trust is earned, all the goals are so much easier to accomplish."

May trust flow, for me and for you,  today.
