WATERMELON

You stand a watermelon on the table.
In a flash of blade the melon
zips into slices of red moons.

You take one and your mouth
slides on it like playing a harmonica,
red juice dribbling through your fingers.

Under your green dress, a pond
is rippling while black seeds
are sliding on the plate like tadpoles.
