    "The Weddell seal of the Antarctic can dive down to a depth of fifteen hundred feet in complete darkness under the ice, where pressures are enormous, but it can "see."  Seals are equipped with brushlike whiskers that can detect vibrations in the water, and have subcutaneous senses along their tubular bodies to help guide them.  They are marvels, masters of a deeper part of the universe which is quite beyond my understanding.  I am always held back by an inability to follow what I see; but see we must or gradually starve what senses we need to know the worlds we dimly occupy."
