Today -

The sun is shining, and I read this morning that a small charity in San Francisco has worked to eliminate Black Fever.   The pharmaceutical companies didn't follow up on a drug to eliminate it, because there wasn't enough money in it, but two people have done so, and, now, lives will be, are being saved.   What good news with which to begin the day.

Jane and I are working in January now, and I began this morning feeling happy, and now, I am feeling very sad.  I think I had not realized how hurtful this with Jan's parents has been for me.  I was very vulnerable in January, and I am a mother who loves her son, her sons.  I can say that it is all about them, and that it has nothing to do with me, and that is so, but that does not mean that there is not tremendous sadness for me in this.   I feel it is the cause of war, and I feel their attitude magnified out in the bombings and killings that build and continue, and I feel very sad.   I have not been able to write anything this morning, but I will sit with the sadness a bit and see what comes.
