Our travel was easy as can be and it still is a big deal to arrive at one airport with heightened security and fly to another and then another. Of course, security is higher with the election so close, and it does detract from some of the joy of flying, and we had a beautiful trip and it is lovely to be home.
Steve brought his headphones and IPOD and I sat, at one point, flying along, listening to music and feeling tears come because this world is so beautiful and so wonderful, and, therefore, it is hard to read of needless killing and stirred up hate, and it is difficult to balance it all, this wonderful preciousness of life and all the rest. I was reading Scientific American on the way home on the beginnings, our beginnings, of how we can see how this universe began. It is so amazing what we are able to do, so amazing, and then, there is this other side, and maybe that is how it needs to be, but I think in Hawaii, I was able to just be with the beauty, and now, I am home in a more complex world and that is okay too.
Jeff and Jan put an offer in on a house today. I hope they get it. My fingers are crossed. It is quite the day, and yes, it is lovely to be back on the mainland with almost all of you.
