I live my life in widening circles
That reach out across the world.
I may not ever complete the last one,
But I give myself to it.
Rainer Maria Rilke
I remember now standing outside as a small child, looking up at the stars, and feeling the universes within and without. I felt what went on inside me, worlds, and that I was a part of other worlds at every level. I've never forgotten it naturally, and so I read Rilke's words, and feel them reverberate in all the circles within and without, all the sizes and shapes, because I think circles wiggle and stretch like bubbles and amoeba in all different ways. The world within is rich and I simmer there today, even as I rejoice in looking out.
I can see the ridge trail from my house, and this morning I was looking out at it, remembering all the times I used to bicycle and walk on it. It has been years now since I have done so and maybe soon I will walk out there and look, from there, back at my house, as well as looking from here.
Imagine yourself today many ways. Imagine all you do, and be. Shrink and stretch. We are magnificent as can be.
