It seems the day is undecided as to whether to fulfill the promises of rain from the weather forecasters or just hang around with a thick dew. I am waiting for its pronouncement.
In reading the Jung Institute catalog, I come across this quote by Jung.
"When a man is fifty, only one part of his being has existed for half a century. The other part, which also lives in his psyche, may be millions of years old. Together the patient and I address ourselves to the 2,000,000-year old man that is in all of us."
- C. G. Jung
Jung suggests we look at our dreams. Jung admired an Inuit shaman who saved his starving tribe by dreaming of a new hunting ground. Who knows what is there for us to uncover as we consider our dreams, and it is worth doing. My dreams this morning are as illusive as this rain storm I was looking forward to. I reach for a nugget and it falls through, but that is this morning. I have many dreams over the years that have offered meaning, guidance, and assurance. I, too, find paths to my hunting grounds.
I was awake most of the night. Though tired from yesterday, I was also stimulated and I am engrossed in The Master by Colm Toibin. Though called a novel, it is a fascinating account of the life of Henry James.
May this day reach into fulfillment for you. Jane and I are working on my time of radiation. I balk each time at going in, and then, when I do, I enjoy reading the news.
Happy Day to You!!
