Everything has its wonders, even darkness and silence, and I learn whatever state I may be in, therein to be content.
Helen Keller
I consider on these words, and realize how much I love darkness and silence. I love them. Of course, darkness often has the stars but there is such a lovely silk wrapping in darkness and I love to peel and peal the layers of silence. I like to make light the darkness within, and see with the eyes of the baby inside floating in the womb, absorbing all the changes as the mother gurgles, walks and sits. If I image how my emotions might affect a baby within, perhaps I can greet the world a little more gently, greet myself that way. I feel how hard I can be on myself. Today I bathe myself as carefully and kindly as I would a baby with words, intention, perception, and touch.
Be kind to yourself!! See yourself kindly!! You! Kindly!! See what that does to your day and night!!
