November Sunday!
It is misty this morning and I can barely see across the valley. I feel enclosed in fairy light, and I hear the bells of the fairies as they dance under the trees.
I emailed a friend, "I keep trying to be touch." It was an interesting slip, since I was trying to say tough, but I think touch is much more fun, so my thought for today is that I am immersed in being touch.
I just read an amazing book I highly recommend. It is called "Dancing in the Dharma, The Life and Teachings of Ruth Denison," and is by Sandy Boucher. Ruth studied with Charlotte Selver, as did I, and it is a wonderful tribute to resiliency, compassion, joy, connectedness, and living easily with understanding and light. I have now put Joshua Tree on my list for a visit.
In honor of Charlotte, I ask you today in her words to "come to standing." Ah, such joy in that. Stand consciously, and feel the space and play within. We are our own playground when we feel in and out as one.
Perhaps I should use Charlotte's words. Awaken to "the ever-changing relationships within and ... between that 'inner' and the 'outer world.' Cultivate awareness of the mind and body together, "one rich, unified organization, functioning as a complex reality."
I consider now on the word complex. I think it is as simple as can be when one hears the fairies and dances on the clouds, which have bent down low today for me.
love and spaciousness to all,
cathy
