Happy Easter!!

I am sorry to see that the news today is as depressing as ever.   Do we really need to read about heart attack possibliities on the front page of the NY Times today?   Live Journal however greets me with blue, green, yellow, and pink.  It is Easter, a time of birth, resurrection and new beginnings.

The sun is shining and the birds are singing, though I noticed they, too, slept in a bit this morning.  The moon is still in the sky, a lovely little disk of an egg observing the day.

I googled Easter poems and found only the cute, but will continue to search for one that says what I feel or maybe I need to write my own and yet tiny little bunnies are prancing in my stomach and I am excited to plunge right into the exuberance of this day.

Eggs are hidden, rather openly this year, and all hops about.  I think of my childhood Easters where an Easter bonnet, new spring coat,  shoes and gloves were in order.  Today is perhaps more casual though I will dress up and if I put on gloves they are more likely to be gardening than dainty and it all works as we each wrap each one of our years in baskets and hugs.

A Hoppy, Happy Easter to You today and everyday!!   May we all bounce, prance, nestle, and rest!!
