That certainly feels right to me. I took a publishing class last night and learned a tremendous amount about the publishing world. There are six big publishing umbrellas right now, and the names we know are under those. Only 5% of books make money and they support the rest of the industry. An agent is an absolute necessity, so that now is the next task, matching our book to the agent who believes in it enough to market it well, and it is for us, too, to learn to better speak of it, so my intention for today is clarity of thought.
