Remember long childhood days!!
v. LITTLE
... Then Andrew raised a sword of light -
the enemy army attacked and we fought
to the death like ninja; the battle won,
we rose, surveyed the wreckage, gave thanks,
and wiped men's blood from our brows.
Later we walked to the sunset-sea and made salt.
At twilight, atop our royal elephants, we slowly
crossed the Himalayas. At evening's threshold,
we sat on the back porch and marveled
at the way an ankle bends, a hand opens.
Night came on. We charted Orion's progress
in the sky. Then we nestled like deer in tall grass.
The warm dark concealed us and I felt happy,
having accomplished little all day.
