It is the day, the transition day, the day in my midwest childhood that meant one no longer wore white. There were three months for that, and now, they were gone. Now, I rarely wear pure white as I am told my color is cream. I am realizing these days that the word "recreation" is actually "re-creation," and I like thinking of it that way. What permission comes. Re-create!! Play! Oddly, though I seem to have hit a clean out closets sort of day. It began with looking for one item and stretched into pulling everything out, and going through that which is old and can go, and that which gets stuffed back in. Happy Day of Transition, and movement toward fall. The fog blew in, so we have a cool, wet cloth to protect us from too much heat and sun. Yesterday was hot, unusual for here, and I felt the lethargy that comes with heat. Today, I'm back in a rhythmic, rolling, stimulating beat.
