I walk down to the marsh, which is full and stagnant. The water is not moving in or out. I realize there is a difference between peace, stillness, and stagnant. I recognize now that when I request and wish peace, I will visualize movement in the peace. There is the Pacific, calm, and there is a need to move the old out and welcome the new.
I can't get to the bike path. The tide is too high. I think how it would be if it were raining, since the water already perches close to the top of the banks and, of course, is overflowing the bike path.
I walk back, past red holly and toyon berries. It feels like Christmas now. Thanksgiving has passed.
I am happy to see there are other walkers out and very few cars. I guess many of us need to unwrap the holiday fat so joyfully wreathed around our middles.
Happy Peaceful Sunday, with movement and ease-filled breeze! We need movement in and out, breath, change.
